Difference between PVC and PET material

- Apr 25, 2018 -

The first difference is that the material is different, one is PET, the other is PVC, although the two materials can be transparent, but the gap is still large.

PET material, poly (ethylene terephthalate) glycol ester. Thermoplastic resin is prepared by transesterification of terephthalic acid or two methyl ester of terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol. Widely used in various daily necessities, such as mineral water bottles in daily life, peanut oil bottles and so on, are basically PET materials. PET material is safe, non-toxic and transparent. It can be applied to food contact area.

PVC is polyvinyl chloride plastic, PVC, linear non qualitative structure. The vinyl chloride monomer was polymerized by the radical polymerization mechanism under the action of peroxide, azo two isobutadiene initiator. Adding plasticizer can adjust soft hardness at any time. It can be transparent or opaque. It is generally not suitable for food contact.
