What is phenolic resin

- Jan 10, 2019 -

Phenolic resin is a synthetic plastic, colorless or yellowish-brown transparent solid, because of the use of electrical equipment, also known as bakelite.

It has good heat resistance, fire resistance, water resistance and insulation, good acid resistance, poor alkali resistance, good mechanical and electrical properties, and is easy to cut. It can be divided into two categories: thermosetting plastics and thermoplastic plastics.

Modified phenolic resins with different functions can be synthesized by adding different components. They have different excellent properties, such as alkali resistance, wear resistance, oil resistance and corrosion resistance.
