Wang Yi said that in the face of the current uncertain international situation, China and Britain, as comprehensive strategic partners, should strengthen strategic communication and cooperation and play a stable role together. It is hoped that the British side will properly handle the issues affecting mutual trust and harmful to the healthy development of bilateral relations, and truly implement the consensus on the establishment of the "golden age" of Sino-British relations.
On the Myanmar issue, Wang Yi said that the top priority is to encourage Myanmar and Bangladesh to strengthen bilateral communication and coordination, and to start the first repatriation work as soon as possible, so as to play a constructive role in promoting the solution of the problem. Hunt said that the British side attaches great importance to the development of relations with China, appreciates the important role played by China in international and regional affairs, and is willing to maintain communication and coordination with China on the development of bilateral relations and related hot issues, including the Myanmar issue.
